Today is Lee's (Bucko) birthday-he would have been 31. It seems only yesterday he would rock up at home in yet another bike he'd "modified".
I remember when he came home on "Chaos" very proud of the skull he attached to the front of it and the glorious flat black paintwork.
Wish you were still here "me boy" we miss you.

I'm thinking of you both (Ma & Pa). I'd say more, but I think it would be mere piffle cos I've never experienced the loss of a son.

Thanks for the thoughts all of you. It's a bad time for us as my birthday, Christmas, Lee's birthday and then Ron's. The last time we saw him was at lunch in Newcastle for Ron's birthday (his 60th) and he promised he'd be there and pay for lunch for my 60th and then said we had to cough up for his 30th and he was gonna order big!!

I went to the Stromtroopers (V-Strom) gathering in Bright the weekend before last. See http://www.stromtrooper.com/australia-n ... -lies.html

I rode the Strom Bucko was on when he died. I wore his Marlboro jacket (see avatar) and I rode the road he was on from Tumbarumba and my eyes were rather blurry through there. (Not the road below which is the track from Wee Jasper to Tumut.)

My eyes would've been misty too, Ron. That's a lovely gesture.

I also wore, at the dinner, the SuperBike Tour shirt he never got to wear for the Superbike dinner. (Green shirt below).

I don't consider myself a fast or good rider so it was odd being told by others that Ii was a blur on the winding roads between Yass and Wee Jasper and on the Blue Duck Inn-Omeo section of road. Until I was on those roads, I didn't know one could scrape the hero knobs on a V-Strom. :)
