The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” is probably one of the best AJ1 colorways of all time. Coveted by fans since the original 1985 release , Jordan Brand is now making black toe variations in every color, like this “Yellow Toe” pair, expected to drop this Summer. The Air Jordan 1 has been simply dominating the sneaker world for two solid years now. While still fresh off of the 30+ incredible release of 2018, Jordan Brand unleashed several new colorways in just a matter of weeks throughout January and February 2019. Many of the new color schemes have been entirely original, however, keen Jordan 1 fans have also noticed that the brand is beginning to recycle the legendary “Black Toe” colorway, swapping out the standard red color for other hues , essentially creating a lineup of team-colored Air Jordan 1s. This month, another toe variation has surfaced online, this time coating the Air Jordan 1’s toe and heel paneling in a bright yellow tone. As always, the quarter panels and midsole remain in white, with the lacing system, Swoosh, and mudguard in black.AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH OG “YELLOW TOE” RELEASE INFORMATIONThe bright new “Yellow Toe” Air Jordan 1 has not yet been announced for release , though they are still expected to drop sometime this Fall. This pair will likely carry the same $160 retail price tag as previous releases, and drop from both Nike and select retailers. New Balance spent the past week in Hong Kong, debuting their new “Grey Store” pop-up that celebrates their history of flat grey colorways by selling just that- strictly grey products. Now, the footwear from this project will see a wider release as a part of the upcoming “Grey” pack. Since the 1980s, New Balance has issued nearly every single shoe they make in a standard-issue grey colorway, one that appeals to the sensibilities of all while keeping the shoes acceptable for running, training or casual wear. Now , they’re celebrating that legacy of plain grey color schemes with a new “Grey Day” pack of the classic New Balance 997 and the more modern New Balance 997s. The original iterations of this color scheme were dreamt up to combat the eclectic, neon style of the 80s, giving runners a more toned-down approach to their footwear. Now, the varying grey tones are an absolute fan-favorite, and with construction and materials like these, they are unlikely to be available for long.NEW BALANCE 997 & 997S “GREY DAY” PACK RELEASE INFORMATIONNew Balance’s celebration of their historic Grey colorway is scheduled to release next week, on September 5th , 2019. The shoes will launch from both New Balance and select retailers, carrying price tags of $210 for the original and $180 for the sportier, modern update.
