Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - LeVeon Bell ran for the go-ahead touchdown and Ben Roethlisberger hit Martavis Bryant for a 94-yard score during Pittsburghs big fourth quarter in a 42-21 victory over the AFC North- leading Cincinnati Bengals. Bell finished with 26 carries for 185 yards and two TDs, both in the final quarter, when the Steelers (8-5) outscored the Bengals, 25-0. Bell also had a touchdown reception, and Roethlisberger completed 25-of-39 passes for 350 yards and three scores to guide the Steelers to their fifth win in the last seven games. We just know that it is one game at a time, said Roethlisberger. We (know) every week is kind of a playoff week for us. Were going to give it everything we have every week. Andy Dalton finished 21-of-29 for 302 yards and a pair of scores for the Bengals (8-4-1), who had a three-game winning streak broken. A.J. Green caught 11 passes for a career-best 224 yards and a score. With Baltimore (8-5) winning at Miami and Cleveland (7-6) losing at home to Indianapolis Sunday, there is a crush in the division standings. Were a type of team if we turn the ball over we cant get down on ourselves, said Green. We didnt convert on third down. I didnt do a good job on third down. We just gotta get better at that. The schedule is tough for both teams over the final three games. The Bengals play at Cleveland before hosting Denver on a Monday night, then conclude the season in Pittsburgh. The Steelers play at Atlanta then host Kansas City before what could be a giant encounter against the Bengals. Green beat Ike Taylor in coverage for an 81-yard TD reception on the final play of the third quarter to give Cincinnati a 21-17 lead. Bell broke off a 53-yard run, which led to Shaun Suishams 44-yard field goal early in the fourth. Pittsburgh caught a break later in the quarter. Dalton had a poor exchange on a fake handoff and coughed up the football. Arthur Moats pounced on the ball at the Cincinnati 24, and Bell finished the short march with a 13-yard run by fighting off a would-be tackler and stretching the ball over the goal line. Roethlisberger connected with Heath Miller on the 2- point conversion with 11:27 remaining. The Bengals then pinned the Steelers at their own 6 following a punt, but on the next play, Leon Hall was burned in coverage down the right sideline by Bryant for the 94-yard score with 8:31 to play and a 35-21 cushion. Bell broke off left tackle for a 22-yard TD run with 5:09 remaining to cement Clevelands second straight big home loss to a division opponent. They lost 24-3 to Cleveland on Nov. 6 before winning three in a row on the road. The Bengals failed to get a first down following a fake punt during a scoreless first quarter, and the Steelers struck first early in the second. Roethlisberger threw to a wide open Miller on the right side of the end zone for a 1-yard score. The Bengals then covered 80 yards in five plays to tie the score. Dalton connected with Green on a 56-yard bomb over the middle, and two plays later, the signal-caller found Jermaine Gresham from 10 yards out for the TD. William Gay picked off Dalton at the Pittsburgh 10 on Cincinnatis next possession, but Jason Worilds was whistled for illegal use of hands, which negated the play. Dalton made the Steelers pay when he faked a handoff and darted up the middle untouched to the end zone for a 20-yard score with 2:57 left. Suisham connected on a 22-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining to get the Steelers within 14-10 at the half. After the Steelers attained a 1st-and-goal from the 4, Roethlisberger threw three consecutive incomplete passes. A nifty move by Bell led to Pittsburgh grabbing a 17-14 lead with 5:24 left in third. On 3rd-and-6, he ran a pattern over the middle, then escaped the coverage of linebacker Emmanuel Lamur before catching a 10-yard TD pass. Game Notes Pittsburgh has won seven of the last nine meetings ... Dalton was knocked out for a play with 8:15 left in the third when Stephon Tuitt connected with the QBs ribs on a rush up the middle. Dalton walked off the field slowly, and Jason Campbell entered the game. Campbell also played the final two offensive series ... Antonio Brown had nine catches for 117 yards for Pittsburgh, while Bryant had four for 109. .ca NHL Power Rankings, finally overtaking the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks, who rank second and third this week. . -- Conor Casey scored two goals, his first of the season, as the Philadelphia Union beat Chivas USA 3-0 on Saturday night. . Sweezy was the one part of the Seattle Seahawks offensive line that had avoided injuries or having to change positions this season. IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys decided one year with Monte Kiffin as defensive co-ordinator and Bill Callahan as play-caller was enough. Kiffin was demoted Tuesday in favour of defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, and Scott Linehan was hired as the passing game co-ordinator who will call plays. The staff shuffling -- the second in as many years -- comes after the Cowboys gave up the most yards in franchise history and finished last in the NFL in total defence and had their worst offensive output in yardage since 2005. "If you look at staffs around this league and rosters all around this league, theres change from year to year," Garrett told The Associated Press. "And the teams that embrace the change are the ones that have the most success and again we feel like from a system standpoint, the systems on offence and the systems on defence, remain in place." Kiffin and Marinelli came to Dallas together last year after the Cowboys fired defensive co-ordinator Rob Ryan and decided to switch to a four-man front with three linebackers following nearly a decade in the 3-4 defence. Quarterback Tony Romo will have his third play-caller in as many seasons after Garrett had that role in 2012. There was even a change in the middle of this past season when Garrett reinserted himself by relaying the calls from Callahan to Romo. "Its not really a concern at all," Garrett said. "Weve had the same offensive system in place here for seven years. We feel like the transition will be really relatively smooth for everybody." Garrett is entering the final season of his contract and is coming off three consecutive 8-8 seasons that extended the clubs playoff drought to four straight years. Garrett said Callahan will remain on staff in 2014, also the final year of his contract. He will keep his titles of offensive co-ordinator and offensive line coach. "Just like you would with a player, guys are always in roles that tend to evolve and change," Garrett said. "If you have the right kiind of guys on your team, they embrace those roles, understand the objective is to try to help our team first and foremost.ddddddddddddBill knows that." Linehan, the former St. Louis coach who was Detroits offensive co-ordinator the past five seasons, gave Garrett his first coaching job in the NFL in 2005 when he was offensive co-ordinator in Miami. Garrett was his quarterbacks coach that season. "He and I have a real comfort level with each other," Garrett said. "Philosophically, were on the same page. He has a comfort level with our system of football. The other thing hell bring is some new blood and some freshness to it." The Lions finished sixth or higher each of the past three years in total offence, while the Cowboys slipped to 16th, their lowest since 2002. While improving dramatically in takeaways on defence under Kiffin, the Cowboys gave up the first two 600-yard games in franchise history and surrendered 40 first downs for the first time in league history. Their 6,645 yards allowed were almost 1,000 more than the previous club record from 2012. Garrett said Kiffin, who will turn 74 next month, will serve more as a mentor who will "help coach coaches and coach players" after spearheading the transition to the 4-3 defence. Marinelli was Chicagos defensive co-ordinator for three years under Lovie Smith before Smith was fired in 2012, when the Bears led the league in interceptions (24) and takeaways (44) and were third in points allowed. "The success he had in Chicago as a co-ordinator speaks for itself," Garrett said. "To have him as a point person is exciting and to have Kiff in the overseeing role is again something we think is good for our team." The Cowboys now have three former head coaches on the staff in Callahan, Marinelli and Linehan, who was 11-25 in two-plus seasons as coach of the Rams. He was fired after an 0-4 start in 2008 and joined the Lions a year later when Jim Schwartz was hired as head coach. Schwartz was fired last month. ' ' '
