Near the midway mark of the second period, Detroit Drew Miller came in down the middle with Raphael Diaz on his back and Ramo came out to play the puck away. Ramo wound up colliding with Diaz while breaking up the play, taking a knee to the head. He eventually left the ice and was escorted into the locker room. Jonas Hiller took over for Ramo in net. .
